We require a 20% deposit in order to secure a booking. We will then require the remaining balance two weeks prior to the booking. If you are booking within two weeks of the activity, we will require the full balance at the time of booking.
Cancellations by us
If we are forced to cancel one or more of your activities because of safety, bad weather or other operational reasons we will offer you an alternative activity. If an alternative activity is not available we will offer the option of re-booking the intended activity for a new date or offer you a voucher valid for one year.
Cancellations by you
Your deposit is not refundable. If you cancel your booking more than two weeks before your visit no further money will be due. If you cancel all or part of your booking within two weeks of your visit then the full balance of the trip is still due and no refund will be given.
As with any holiday or trip away we recommend that you take out personal holiday insurance to cover cancellation. When booking on behalf of a group, we would recommend you book for the minimum number in the party and add others to the group as they confirm. If your group numbers reduce within two weeks of your activities the full balance for the number of places originally booked will still be due. However, for last minute bookings we need to know your final group numbers at the time of booking.

- Offroad 4×4 – 17 years or above
- Bushcraft – 8 years or above
- Kayaking (flat water)- 8 years or above
- Kayaking (white water) – 12 years or above
- Canoeing (flat water) – 8 years or above
- Safety & Rescue Course – 18 years and above
If you are under 18, you must get permission from a legal parent or guardian. Please ask for a parental consent form.
- You must be 19 stone or less to take part in our activities.
Late Arrival Policy
Please ring us to let us know! We understand that accidents happen and that traffic can sometimes be a problem when getting to us, we will hold the activity for 20 minutes after the official activity start time but any later than this we will have to cancel the activity and will not be able to offer a refund.
Customers with Disabilities
If you have a disability please call us to discuss your needs. Not all activities are suitable for all disabled participants; however we will do our best to help by working with our instructors to assess your individual needs relative to the activities.
We carry £5 million public liability insurance. Details are available on request. Personal holiday insurance is not included in the price you pay and we recommend that you have adequate personal holiday insurance to cover cancellation and personal injury. We do not recommend any one provider and ask that you check that the activities you will be taking part in are covered under your policy. You may already be covered under any annual holiday insurance policy you may hold.
We provide transport from the centre to the activity site for the following activities; Rafting, Tubing, Archery, Axe Throwing Kayaking and Canoeing. All other activities require customers to use their own transport.
We can book local taxis for your group to get to our centre. Please let us know if you are travelling by public transport. Trains run to both Ruabon and Chirk stations (each about 7 miles from Llangollen). Buses run from Wrexham to Llangollen at least twice an hour during the day. National Express runs a daily London to Chester service, which stops in Llangollen.
Your enjoyment and exhilaration is our business and we want to make sure you have the best time! If you have a great time please let us know, as we love it when we know we did a good job! If on the other hand you don’t have a good experience, please let us know as soon as you can – preferably at the time – so we can try to fix the problem.
